A selfie is a type of photo that you take by yourself, you pose in front of a camera that you´re holding with one hand. You can find a selfie in blogs or social networks.

History

This word appeared for the first time on the forum of ABC online, it was used as a colloquial word. After that, this word started to appeared on social networks like MySpace or Facebook.
